Another classic day at a Evans Head with beautiful weather despite a cold start. The crowd for the prize draws was a little thin due to the magic conditions overnight that saw many boats stay out looking to improve on their catches.
Despite this there were some great fish photos brought in with a 940mm AJ/Sambo for Ben Campbell. Inshore a 395mm blackfish was landed by Ray Palmer who has really focussed on the estuary staple. A 429mm bream by Mackenzie Souter, a well know name in the local comps, won for the day.
Bradley Innes landed a massive flathead of 33mm but it wasn’t enough to claim first place, or second.
If you’re looking for a huge king or cobia, hook up with Glenn Bank who is sitting pretty with a 1330 model and the mulloway seem to be big with most over the $1.20 mark.
