🧒 EVANS HEAD FISHING CLASSIC – BIGFISH KIDS SCORES

🦸‍♀️ Young Heroes, Bigger Fish

In the ever-expanding Marvel Angling Universe, a new wave of kid-powered superheroes emerged from the shores of Evans Head. With epic teamwork, precision casting, and unshakable determination, these young fishers brought in catches as mighty as Thor’s hammer—and just as hard to lift. From tailor to mulloway, the Bigfish scoreboard has now lit up with some of the most impressive efforts we’ve seen yet.

🛡️ CADET DIVISION – Earth’s Mightiest Cadets

The bream-tarwhine battles were fierce, but Archie Kitchell claimed victory with a 419mm beauty, using Hawkeye-like focus to find the mark. Tom Cooper followed closely with a 400mm effort, while Emma Fox showed true superhero grit with a 390mm fish to secure third.

The flathead category was stacked with mutant-level talent. Kayde Donnelly delivered a colossal 797mm flathead—a catch that even the Hulk would have trouble holding up. Hayley Thornborrow wasn’t far behind with a 730mm beast, and Pania Hayman showed classic consistency with a 650mm entry.

The Judges’ Choice section read like a hall of legends. Randy Harris lit up the sky with a 900mm snapper, smashing records like Captain Marvel charging through an alien fleet. Hayley Thornborrow returned to the board with a 760mm jewfish—just as fierce. Rounding it out, Preston Rai earned applause for a 555mm tailor that was sharp, fast, and precise—definitely giving Quicksilver energy.

In whiting, Lachlan McCormack led the charge with a clean 391mm fish. Sophie Symonds followed at 380mm, and Alyssa Symonds closed the podium with 367mm—tight finishes, like an Iron Man vs. War Machine sparring match.

🕶️ JUNIOR DIVISION – The Next Generation of Legends

In the Junior Bream-Tarwhine division, it was a four-way standoff that could’ve been pulled straight from an Avengers Civil War scene. Ilaria Morgan and Logan Flaherty tied for first at 385mm—both proving unbreakable under pressure. Meanwhile, Hudson Scully and Oliver Hotschilt tied for third with 382mm, not even a full centimetre off the lead.

Flathead belonged to Skylah Hancock, who brought in a 718mm unit, landing the win with Black Widow-level calm and execution. Pania Hayman was right behind her with a 650mm entry, and Mac Heath secured third with 540mm—closing out a trio of true battlefield tacticians.

The Judges’ Choice panel featured three standout catches that deserve their own movie trailers. Emmett Tolmay went supernova with an 867mm snapper that left the crowd speechless. Oliver Hotschilt returned with a 748mm mac tuna, firing off a blast of angling prowess that’d make Rocket Raccoon proud. And once again, Pania Hayman stepped into the spotlight with a 716mm mulloway—a fish that echoed Thor’s command of the sea.

Wrapping up the whiting results, Lachlan McCormack repeated his Cadet-level heroism with another first-place 391mm fish. Sophie Symonds held strong at 380mm, while Amelia Russ clinched third with 355mm—every one of them proving that size isn’t everything when you’ve got heart.

🗯️ Final Words from HQ

The Kids Bigfish Scores remind us that greatness starts young—and sometimes the next generation outshines the current one. These Cadets and Juniors brought everything: power, poise, and plenty of splash. Whether it was snapper, mactuna, or flathead, they showed us all how heroes are made—one cast at a time.
