Evans Head Classic Day 5 Wednesday
What a day. We had the delayed trivia at 4pm, but before that we had sun. yes wow, sun. We had a chilled day working at the site while competitors braved the water. A couple of hairy moment at the bar though so we remind everyone to be careful out there.
The offshore fished well for Rick Jones landing a 1052 AJ/Sambo beating Cameron Gillespie and Troy Robson. King/Cobia went to Leroy Warburton and mulloway to Benjamin Campbell with Brad Gosling a close second. The pearl perch were also good for Rod Simmons with a 614mm fish winning for today. Snapper are edging closer to the 1m mark with a 925mm fish for Robert Hargraves.
Off the stones, tailor went to Geoffrey Hoss McGrath, a new name for this category. The blackfish went to Shane Griffiths. Dart also went again to Bernard Richter with a 429mm fish.
Inshore, an estuary whiting at 410mm was the winner for Alex Klassen. While Leroy Warburton won bream with a 420mm fish. Flathead went to Mal Hancock with a beauty at 931mm.
