Briefing Night Wrap-Up – Evans Head Fishing Classic 2025
The 29th Evans Head Fishing Classic kicked off with over 800 keen anglers ready to get amongst it. The crowd enjoyed a buzzing atmosphere with plenty of options at the food alley, offering up a feast to fuel competitors and families alike.
We covered all the essentials during the briefing — from how to use the app and key safety protocols to acknowledging our amazing sponsors, with Gamakatsu and Anaconda proudly leading the charge.
There was a minor drama with a lost phone, but thanks to a helpful crowd, it was quickly returned to its owner — crisis averted! Meanwhile, the kids were all smiles, diving into the mountain of free giveaways.
Fishing officially started at 8:30pm, right after the briefing, with yellow the sticker colour for Day 1. A reminder: the new sticker for Saturday will be available from 2:00pm.
